The Kentucky Children's Health and Fitness Fund
Providing healthy living education and programming to Kentucky families
Our mission is to give every Kentucky child the chance to grow up healthy and happy. Our goal is to deliver the latest information in a multi-lingual, multi-media, FUN and engaging way that makes every young Kentuckian feel smart about choices toward healthy living.
Founded in 1995 and incorporated as a nonprofit charity in 2009, we are unique to the state in scope and effect. Among other efforts, we provide:+ in-school printed, online and televised healthy living programming to 240,000 children in grades + K-4 through our nationally unique "Fit 4 Fun" campaign;+ statewide youth-sports league support including a low-cost uniform and equipment co-op;+ high-profile, celebrity-driven events that draw media attention to the critical and immediate health+ needs of Kentucky's children; + formal collaboration with four other nonprofit charities serving similar missions around the world.
We're a fun, energetic, pro-active group of professionals. We choose to envision with hope the day all of Kentucky's children grow up healthy, happy and well-educated, contributing members of our society. Our very active Board of Directors is constantly working to improve the lives of all Kentucky children.
If you love Kentucky kids as much as we do, please join us. Send us an email and we'll explain all the ways you can get involved, such as joining our "Play It Forward" team of adults who played sports as kids now bringing that opportunity to today's youngsters.
We welcome everyone working to make Kentucky a healthier place to grow up.
