Al's Bar in Lexinton now open for lunch !!

           I was in the downtown Lexington area today and driving down North Limestone and noticed that Al's Bar is now open for lunch .  I ventured in and had the Griff Burger and fries ...........it was a great sloppy tasty burger and the fries are great also .   

     

Red State BBQ

           An under discovered gem in central Kentucky is Red State BBQ located on Georgetown Road in Fayette County .    They have a great line-up of BBQ including awesome brisket and sides .

Flavored Cane Sugar at Stuatos

              This afternoon I visited the Stuarto's Olive Oil store on Euclid Avenue in Chevy Chase ( Lexington, KY ) and discovered that they now carry a line of flavored cane sugars .    Some of the flavors are ginger and habenaro .     The store manager Kellie did a great job sharing some samples to taste and also mix with some of the flavored salts .    This one additonal ingredient added to their olive oils, balsamic vinagars, and sea salts really opens up some cool uses of the products used in combination with each other .   This could even include ways to flavor drinks , etc..

Local Japanese Steakhouse is expanding and opening up in Hamburg at the old Corky's BBQ location .

JD Legends - Nicholasville $2.00 burgers

          One of the best kept secrets in central Kentucky are the great burgers and other items at J D Legends in Nicholasville , KY .   They have great HALF POUND  BURGERS  and the plain burger is available at only $2.00 .  Fixins , etc. add to the total but its still a great deal  !

Kahunas Island Bar & Grill - New Menu

         Kahunas Island Bar & Grill on Southland Drive in Lexngton, Ky has just enveiled a new menu .    They have added several "comfort food" types of items to an already interesting menu .   

Charlie's Fresh Seafood in Lexington

              One of my favorite places to get a fish sandwich in central Kentucky is Charlie's Fresh Seafood on Winchester Road.    I love their big honkin fish sandwich...........see pic below :
