Missing in the Tates Creek Road area

A few months ago the Honey Bean Coffee Shop closed . This great little cafe was located in Tates Creek Centre and its closing left a gaping hole in the coffee shop category for the trade area . It was a neighborhood gathering spot and its Wi Fi connection made it a convenient place for business meetings and for the mobile workforce to catch up on e-mail etc. I am hoping that someday soon someone will fill that gap .

Coming Soon - Doodles

The culinary scene in the downtown Lexington area of North Limestone and Third Street is about to be enriched by the planned July opening of Doodles restaurant acrosse from Third Street Stuff . This restaurant will offer breakfast ,lunch and catering . More details are forthcoming !

Campbellsville BBQ

Yesterday I had a delightful lunch at the Smoke Pit located on Highway 55 just outside of Columbia near Green River lake. This place knows how to make BBQ . I was the guest of the owner of www.bbq-festivals.com and we sampled a wide range of menu items .
